Spring is on the March! Following International Women’s Day, and the centenary of (partial) women’s suffrage, this month Sunday Assembly will be focusing on Wise Women. Oh, look at that, it’s going to be Mother’s Day too. Coincidence? I THINK NOT. Why not bring your mum along? She’s a wise woman, if ever there was one. Tell you what – bring your mum along to Sunday Assembly, then take her for Sunday lunch. Sorted.
We’re delighted to return to Manchester Museum with our main speaker – the wise cracking wise woman Kirsty Styles!
Kirsty Styles is a journalist, technologist and comedian who will be telling us tales about empowering women and northern voices to become the next generation of leaders, and maybe how we can too! She will also be telling the odd joke! As usual, you can also expect a beautiful array of singalong songs (there might be one or two about female empowerment!), provoking poetry (this time from excellent Nicola Lennon) inspiring speakers and a strong, supportive sense of community.
After the assembly, why not stick around for some crafts with Zoe, deeper philosophical conversation with Russell, take a moment to celebrate wise women in your life or check out some of the female power inspired objects from the Museum! And of course help yourself to a complimentary biscuit!
Please help us spread the word - tell your friends, tell your family, tell your neighbours, tell your cat! Sunday Assembly is run by volunteers, who work together to make incredible things happen. If you would like to join in, just get in touch.
