Manchester! We are BUZZIN’ about April’s assembly, it’s going to BEE amazing!!

You won’t bee-lieve our line-up. We'll be joined by our main speaker from Friends of the Earth who will be talking about Manchester's favourite flying insect! Expect to #wondermore about why we love bees, why we need bees and explore these incredible little creatures. We're also joined by the brilliant Manchester poet Steph Lonsdale and community speaker - our very own Queen Bee: Sarah Miguel!
As ever, there’ll also be some banging tunes from our house band. What will they be playing? The Bee Gees? Bee-yoncé? The Hives?! It’s anyone’s guess.
After the assembly we will have crafts, philosophy, object handling from the museum (did you know they have a hive on their roof??) and lots of conversation over a bit of cake.
- FREE to attend - we run on donations alone, so please help support us if you can.
- FAMILY-FRIENDLY - we'll have a little kid’s area and welcome people of all ages.
- CITY-CENTRE - Manchester Museum is located just off Oxford Street near a range of public transport hubs. For more info about public transport & parking, see visitor info here.
- COLLECTING BRAS! – We are collecting disused bras for a bra bank. Bras collected will help women in developing nations and raise money for a breast cancer charity.
